What I love about these four images is that they are of the same water, in the same light. The variations are amazing to me. To really see the color and detail, click on each image two times.

These next three aren't really a set, but they share a name as they're all expressions of the same body of water. (Salish Sea sounding much sexier than Elliot Bay.)

This image and the one below it are from the same day, the same dock, but two different viewpoints. These waters reflected the puffy clouds overhead.

The curvy patterns in this one remind me very strongly of some of the native art here in the northwest. Please click on the image to see an example of what I mean.

I'm new to ice puddles (are they still puddles when they're frozen?) and I don't know what makes these cool (ha!) wavy lines. Elves?

I suspect this ice was formed when rain continued to hit the freezing surface here. I was caught by the underwater feel of it.

These circles in the frost on the windshield simply sparkled with color in the cold morning light... I couldn't resist them.

I almost don't want to reveal the source of these images, lest it take away some of the beauty, but... here goes! These images which remind me of the sea, or the curve of the planet as seen from space, are actually my car windshield, coated with ice.

Although I love the crashing of the waves, I also enjoy it when the ocean is still. (Makes it easier to spot the dolphins.)

One chilly morning, after a rainy night, I opened the blind to this beautiful display of condensation. I loved the play of light and colors through the individual beads. I was so taken with the display, that I didn't notice my neighbor on the other side of the pane. I'm not sure if she saw me, but if she did, I imagine she thought SHE was the subject of my photo!

I think clouds in tropical areas can be so bold and dramatic, that they're interesting enough on their own. But reflected in water... even better.
