Ever since I was a little desert dweller, I've been delighted with the play of light on water. I remember sitting by the pool and watching the patterns on the bottom, and the reflections against the wall. Moving to the Pacific Northwest after 35 years in the desert has provided welcome instruction to actually living in moisture and its many forms. I think we're part of the 3% of Seattlites who don't mind the ice or snow... These first four images are from my hometown of Phoenix, where I recently got some pool time. | One chilly morning, after a rainy night, I opened the blind to this beautiful display of condensation. I loved the play of light and colors through the individual beads. I was so taken with the display, that I didn't notice my neighbor on the other side of the pane.
